Studying Agriculture, sustainability, and help get our chook sheds.

Students holding chickens in Ag Plot

Who would have thought, that the number of Ag classes at UHS is the largest Ag department outside of the Agriculture High Schools. Hats off to the fantastic Ag teachers and all the students who have a deep passion for Agriculture, the farm animals and all the harvests we grow.

Student holding chicken in Ag Plot

Students are very engaged in the many aspects of Agriculture Technology, and they learn about all the related industries, the sustainability of agricultural systems, as well as the relationships between production, processing and consumption. With hundreds of agriculture students learning at the farm, a larger poultry facility has become desperately needed. The ‘chook shed’ must be large enough to house the number of birds to meet the demands of the numbers of students completing the Ag course. To that end, our fantastic P&C is currently running a fundraising project to raise funds for the construction of a new poultry facility. We need everyone to help. The school is collecting cans and directing the funds from the ‘return and earn’ to the Ag Farm for the new sheds. We are calling everyone to take your cans/bottles to the ‘Return and Earn’, and nominate Ulladulla High P&C as the place that the money goes. Already the P&C have raised almost $1,500. #fantastic #HelpChooks
