Aboriginal homework centre

Ulladulla High School (UHS) operates an Aboriginal learning hub, locally known as The Aboriginal homework centre. Qualified tutors and community members assist Aboriginal students of all ages with homework and assignments.

A light refreshment is provided by the ‘workers' attending the hub near the entry to the library. A gold coin donation is appreciated for this snack.

The hub operates from the school library on Tuesday afternoons from 3:15-4:45pm and assistance is also provided to non-Aboriginal students if requested. Aboriginal students attending the hub are welcome to bring along non-Aboriginal friends.

The facilities of the library are available for use during the operation of the homework centre. Individual and group tuition is available at this time.

Parents are requested to pick up their children from 4:45pm.

Students attending the hub are requested to bring the necessary homework or assignment details with them.

Any subject specific assistance needs to be organised the day before. This can be done by leaving a message for Sharon Bunyan or Erica East with the school office staff on 02 4455 1799.
