School uniform

All students in NSW government schools (core rules) are expected to maintain a neat appearance, including adhering to the requirements of the school's uniform or dress code. We encourage our students to dress as serious 'world' class' global learners. We have our own UHS school uniform policy that you can look at to understand better about our uniform.

The wearing of school uniform is supported by the P&C and was decided on by a group of parents, staff and students.  All items of school uniform, except shoes, are available only from the school uniform shop. To understand the kind of shoes allowed in school, please see acceptable shoes (PDF 164KB).

We have a P&C run Uniform Swap Shop, open Fridays 8:30-9am, where uniform items can be purchased for a gold coin donation. If you are interested to buy uniforms from us, please look into UHS uniform price list (PDF 428KB) for more information.

Families in need may complete an application for financial assistance, available in Reception in the Administration Block.

Uniform swap shop

This is a P&C initiative.

The shop is open Fridays 8:30am-9am (during the school terms).

Managed by the generosity of volunteers, swap shop is located behind the Canteen. Most convenient entry is via South Street gates.

The shop relies on the donation of clean pre-loved uniform items (all sizes and varieties).  We would love some hangers with clips for shorts and long pants if anyone has any to spare.

At uniform swap shop any uniform can be exchanged for free (maybe a different size if available, or for a different item) or the donation of a gold coin will be accepted per item.

The uniform swap shop is closed during the school holidays but will open a couple of mornings in January which will be advertised in the school newsletter and on this page.

Thank you in advance for your donations of clean preloved uniform and a big thank you to our volunteers.
