Aunty Nell is our "Elder of Excellence"
Our local Aboriginal community is significant, impressive and has made a huge difference in the lives of all our students. We are very proud to announce that our own Aunty Nell Mooney has been awarded the Prestigious Nanga Mai Award for "Outstanding contribution to educational achievement by a community member". Aunty Nellie has been working with all our schools in the Milton Ulladulla district since the inception of the Aboriginal Homework Centre in 1985. Her care, kindness and inspiring devotion to our Aboriginal students has been phenomenal. We are very proud. Congratulations Aunty Nellie! Aunty Nell will travel to Sydney to be awarded at a reception with the Ministers and dignitaries from the NSW Public schools portfolio.
