Last week a group of students gained an insight into the many varied Careers in the Hospitality Industry. They visited Gwylo (Matt, Hayley and Declan), Bannisters (Rupert and team), then on to Cupitts for lunch. Students met John and Hannah from Lagom Bakery, Kitty from Milkhaus, Hayley from Gwylo, Luke from Merry Street and Tom from Cupitts and heard of their journeys.
It was great to have UHS SBAT student Brodie Tebbutt, and Alumni Sam Goodworth and Ebony Wellman talk to us about their successes, all now working in the Hospitality Industry!
Thanks to our fabulous local restauranteurs, as well as Paul and Neil from RIEP (Regional Industry Education Partnerships) and Di from Shoalhaven Food Network for this opportunity! Interested students can continue their learning by attending the Gaining Through Training TAFE Day this week, then have the opportunity to ‘work’ at the many local events as part of the Shoalhaven Food Network Autumn Celebration of Food.
