Stage 6 Visual Arts Excursion

They listened to a talk from HSC ArtExpress students, viewed the ArtExpress exhibition, permanent collections and the Louise Bourgeois show in the new AGNSW North building. Students were engaged and motivated by the artworks they viewed. The day provided valuable insight in to the material and conceptual practice of artists, motivating them to take risks and resolve their ideas. The day also provided valuable insight about curatorship that will allow students to write in a more informed and deliberate way in upcoming exams and assessment task submissions. The highlight of the day was the immersive installations of Louise Bourgeois.
