This term we have seen so much of how we approach learning transform over the last 10 weeks. I congratulate our school community for their enthusiasm and support of the school, our teachers and students. I am grateful for the incredible focus and positive attitude that each and every person has undertaken to make sense of, and encapsulate, learning in these unique times.
Moving forward, we have been very busy gathering our school community response to this phase 3 of our return and the transitioning into a new way of learning. Congratulations to all who have created, contributed and assisted in the evaluation.
Last week we had a team of educators from Sydney University to assist us to make sense of all the data. The summary of survey results from the students, teachers and parents can be found at the below links. Along with this data, we have compiled responses from faculties, student representative council and vignettes from students.
Many students and teachers have appreciated the length, number and spread of the sessions, along with roll call attached to first period. The data tells us that the majority of teachers and the students prefer the 4 sessions and 3 breaks. The data for parents is divided almost evenly. The school is now looking carefully at the minutes in each session and the minutes in the breaks, as these will need to be adjusted if this was implemented going forward. This detail will be provided once confirmed. The data is below.
