SRC Sport Day Success

Students participating in sport activities

It was hard to miss the activity and celebration shared throughout Ulladulla High School last Wednesday during Sports Day. The beginning of the second semester has seen hard-working, innovative and eager, new and returning student leaders ready to collaborate and share ideas on areas members are passionate about! A group of avid and inspirational sports players and enthusiasts came together to plan and action the UHS Sports Day held on the 31 July.  Each year group had the opportunity to compete against their peers.  Session one saw Year 8 battle it out in an exciting game of volleyball. In Session Three, Year 7 contended for the soccer champion title and finally the Year 9’s played a furious game of basketball. Not to forget during the break times the Year 11 and 12’s day long rivalry.  Additionally, the great Aussie tradition of a sausage sizzle commenced. It was a hit! The student leaders functioned and flowed like a well oiled machine, not letting any students go hungry. The greatest outcome of the day was the collaboration and celebration of sport UHS got to experience! Money raised is being put towards improving all sports activities, equipment, sports uniforms and jerseys. A huge thank you goes to those who planned, volunteered, supported and participated in the day, it would not have been possible without you! Watch for the Student Leader Report in next week’s Summit Times. Until then, if you would like your voice heard, reach out to the SRC and SEC coordinators,
