How good is it when ‘world renowned’ Chef and celebrity food expert, Rick Stein visits our Hospitality Classes, sets the challenge to make a decorated Pavlova, and is blown away by the energy, professionalism, and the cleverness of our students. That was UHS during the last week of school. A vibe of energy and enthusiasm, which we, at UHS understand is the ‘type of sliding door’ moment, that opens up hopes, dreams, and aspirations for our students.

Hearing and seeing what is possible, is the first step to aligning a student’s educational and life goals. As Rick Stein, so convincingly said, working in the food and hospitality industry, provides opportunities to travel the world, understand the incredible layers of the delights of food, and the scope of the industry is so vast, from food photography, paddock to plate primary producing, hotel management, food research and nutrition, it is literally limitless. The students were so grateful to both Rupert Sakora the CEO of Bannisters and Mrs Ingold our Careers Advisor for their fantastic collaboration in making this event such a meaningful moment in time. #SkillDevelopment #Apprecation #RickStein
