On Friday the 8 of November over 200 Year 6 students from local schools, as well as from schools further afield, arrived at UHS for their taster day. A group of dedicated teachers and student helpers prepared the activities for the day to introduce our new students to some of the things that they can look forward to in the coming years – These included art sessions, cultural experiences in the Aboriginal Garden, fun in the science labs, some dance and drama, cooking, and visiting the Ag plot and our animals. We appreciated the support of the communities Primary schools to familiarise students to the changes that they will experience in the biggest transition of their young lives.
