Year 8 CUC day

As the last instalment of the Country University Centres (CUC) ‘My Strengths’ program, Year 8 headed down to the ANU campus at Kioloa to get stuck into some community led activities for the day. From bush survival activities to snorkelling, painting, gardening, breath work and an expedition to the local rock platforms, the group fully immersed themselves in an array of experiences, in order to learn more about their strengths and interests. Across the day, the students worked with peers, staff and community members. Year 8 and UHS would like to thank Carly, Adam, Kiara and the whole CUC team, Mick from Drawn 2 Water, Beneath The Bay, Beyond Empathy, Growing Together South Coast, Murramarang Community Gardens , NSW Fisheries, Treading Lightly, Luci’s and our wider community for their knowledge sharing throughout this program. A great experience which we know Year 8 will continue to value in the years to come.
