NAIDOC Assembly

Didge Crew

On Friday last week, we gathered to celebrate NAIDOC 2024 with a whole school assembly - one of the most significant annual events for our school and community. It was an incredible celebration of the rich and enduring partnerships that exist within our school. This year's theme, Keep the Fire Burning, resonates deeply with the history, culture, and spirit of First Nations peoples and speaks to the resilience, strength, and unwavering spirit of our First Nations communities. NAIDOC Week continues to grow in its importance, not just within our school but across Australia. It is a time for all Australians to come together, celebrating the rich history, diverse cultures, and incredible achievements of the oldest continuous culture on Earth. As Principal, I am committed to supporting our First Nations students by fostering strong community connections and providing opportunities for cultural engagement. These activities help sustain cultural identity and maintain the deep connection to Country. Let’s keep the fire burning.
