Mr. Duncan and the Crew from PDHPE set up a mighty challenge for Year 8. The idea was that each student was to set themselves a week-long physical or emotional/social challenge! This was their chance to challenge themselves and see what they could accomplish! The teachers decided to challenge themselves alongside our students. Whether it was running 5K, doing yoga every day, or learning a new skill, this was their chance to set a goal and then show grit, focus and a bit of creativity to achieve it. There were some great challenges, some students cooked dinner for the family every night, another student has gone for a fun run every day, without fail. Year 8 then had to record their journey and reflect on their challenge, and so did the teachers. Mr. Littlejohns set his goal to run 50k in a week…. Wow! Did he achieve it. We think he did! Miss Day, stretched every morning, Mr. Richardson did his yoga, Mr Pearson rode his bike and made sure he got a good nights sleep. Overall Year 8 and the teachers, super work. You are all a ‘Hall of Legends and Champions!’ When we are working on becoming better versions of ourselves, not competing with others, its meaningful! #GoYear8
