We are a school that is providing engaging and interesting ways to enliven the curriculum for our students. And this has gained interest from SBS Dateline with support from the Commonwealth Bank Schools Plus Australian Teaching Awards. Last week we hosted the team from SBS Dateline, filming in and around school for an upcoming program in October. The team were greeted with some engaging and intriguing lessons, including Year 7 Food Technology and Year 7 Science. Along with the Surfing Elective being filmed on the beach and in the water connecting their understanding of ocean currents and sand bar shifts which was an informative lesson with their teacher and coach Pam Burridge. Along with time at school, the SBS team spent time around the town to gain insight about our community and the workings of a large rural high school. #greatlessons #Reallearning #engagedstudents.
