Over the last term, the Executive Team and a number of teachers have been collaborating with the ‘Transforming Schools Team’ to investigate, experiment, create and dissect a way to learn that students will transform how learning will look in the future for our classrooms. The enthusiasm and energy by our teachers in the undertaking of this research from Sydney University is empowering. It is through these innovative teaching processes, informed by creativity, collaboration, communication and critical reflection, the teachers want to ensure learning is enlivened and enriched in each classroom. Such simple, yet powerful activities that allow learning to be leveraged successfully through student agency, voice and understanding will begin to permeate through the school. The concepts are underpinned by the ‘Learning Disposition Wheel’ which illustrates the skills and aptitudes that students need to successfully become life-long learners. Activities like the Bus Stop, Verbal Tennis, Meccano and Texta Talk are already being used by some teachers. The feedback from many students has been very positive. #LearningForTomorrow #Creativity
