It is explicitly clear that developing good relationships, showing empathy and having competent social skills is pivotal for successful learning. It is opportunities like school camps where students are given opportunities to build skills that foster positive relationships with peers, understand and practice the qualities of being a good friend, understanding others uniqueness and differences through empathy including through activities and experiences. As students develop these skills and a growing self awareness that serve them well in the classroom, playground, home and community. And it is a whole lot of fun to be learning while out in the environment with your friends and teachers. What a great way to end Term 1. Year 9 have an awesome time at your up coming camp.
