Week 4 is Attendance Week. Everyday matters… attending school everyday matters

Regular school attendance plays a vital role in shaping our students' academic journey and personal development. From the first days of Year 7 through to the culmination of the HSC year, being present at school consistently creates the building blocks for lifelong success and wellbeing.

When students attend school regularly, they develop a strong sense of belonging within our school community. This connection to their school environment creates a secure foundation from which they can explore, learn, and grow. Through daily interactions with peers and teachers,

students forge meaningful friendships and develop healthy relationships that often last well beyond their school years.

Why Attendance Matters

The impact of consistent attendance extends far beyond the classroom walls. Students who maintain strong attendance records typically demonstrate increased engagement in both academic and extracurricular activities. This enhanced engagement opens doors to discovering new interests, talents, and potential career pathways. Through regular participation in school life, students become more aware of the diverse opportunities available to them, both during their school years and in their future careers.

Research consistently shows that attendance has a direct positive correlation with academic achievement and social development. Each day at school represents another opportunity for learning, growth, and connection. Missing school means missing out on crucial learning experiences, social interactions, and the chance to build strong foundations for future success.

At Ulladulla High School, we believe that supporting positive attendance is a collaborative effort. Our dedicated staff members are committed to working in partnership with parents and caregivers to ensure every student can maximise their potential through regular school attendance. Together, we can create an environment where every student thrives.

Remember: Every school day counts in your child's educational journey. Let's work together to make attendance a priority and set our students up for success.
