On Monday 16 September, 4 Year 9 Circus students travelled to Bega to teach Circus skills to over 100 Primary School students from across the South Coast. The Camp is a transition experience where Year 5 and 6 students come together to learn Dance, Drama, Art, Woodwork, Music and Circus and then showcase their skills in a performance gala on Wednesday night for staff, families and friends. Alexis Hanley, Lucy Wells, Lillie Thornton and Myra Williams travelled to Bega with Circus Teacher Sharon McCutcheon and taught the young creatives stilt walking, tight rope walking, poi, plates, juggling acrobatics and adagio skills for the showcase. The girls stayed at Kianinny Bush Cottages and acted as mentors for the junior students throughout the camp experience. They were kind, patient and connected throughout the week and are to be commended for their professional approach to this experience.
