Debating Team

Marlie Kingsley, Kiara Barkle, Faith Nevin and Lilly Coombs were the affirmative side in a debate against Vincentia High School on the topic That we should take students on excursions to protests. Our team performed well and went down in a close contest. The Year 9 and 8 group worked hard as a team and can be commended for the care they showed in seeking individual feedback from the University Adjudicator. This was the second year the core team have competed in the Premier’s Debating Challenge and the  development in their rhetorical skills and confidence have been impressive to follow.
