Shoalhaven Food Network ‘Gaining through Training’

On a cool night last week, 12 students interested in all things superb food, were part of the Shoalhaven Food Network (SFN) hosted by the Altar Bar and included every fine restaurant in our community.  The Gwylo Team, Cuppits, Baar Baar, Nomah, Killara catering, Woodstock Chocs, Lagom, the list goes on.  The Chefs, the managers, the front of house teams, came together to deliver the first function of the festival. The SFN will continue for 6 weeks, with over 70 events, and our students will be working and learning across many of the events, many excited to sign up and learn from the very best and cook and serve with the best local chefs. UHS is very grateful for the extraordinary support and willingness by our local people to ensure UHS students get the very best opportunity. As many say, this is our industry of tomorrow, the business owners, the chefs, winemakers, pastry chefs, the list goes on. The catch phrase of SFN, gaining through training, lives up to its phenomenal reputation of being community supported and community ran. There are 70 events all listed on the website.
