The event featured many other displays from all subject areas, ranging from English graphic novels, art and photography projects focusing on landscapes, surrealism and photographic techniques and interactive games that engaged attendees of all ages. Some other standouts included Year 11 Marine Studies students displayed coral polyp models, highlighting the importance of marine ecosystems, Year 9 HSIE / International Studies presented Traditional Vietnamese coconut coffee and iced tea, Year 8 TAS / Textiles students designed and displayed pencil cases, showcasing their sewing skills, Year 9 &10 Photography students showcased music videos they created as part of their antiphonal projects and holograms. Our Milumba students also showcased a variety of engaging projects that reflected their creativity and community spirit. These included the Spotted Frog, Djamaru Games Live which encouraged attendees to participate and learn through play. Additionally they had a chess area and a multi-display featuring innovative items like shoes, boards, and tiny home plans. They also presented homemade jams and relishes, highlighting their culinary skills. UHS students took great joy and pride in sharing their projects with the community and their families, creating authentic real-world connections that made their work feel more meaningful. These connections not only enhanced the authenticity of their projects but also fostered a sense of pride and accomplishment among the students. We are so proud of the students and teachers efforts in creating a fantastic 2024 EXPO!
