Beyond the Classroom – High Country Excursion  

What a great group of students’ were the words uttered by the teachers accompanying the 2023 High Country Year 9 trip. Again, UHS took the opportunity to organise a very successful learning experience beyond our 4-wall classroom. One of the main learning experiences begins with gaining a deep understanding of the immense Snowy Mountains Hydroelectricity Scheme (Snowy Hydro). The scheme comprises of sixteen major dams, seven power stations (two of which are underground), a pumping station, 145km of inter-connected trans-mountain tunnels and 80km of aqueducts
