Should we ban violent video games? Is sugar a drug that should be regulated? Are books better than television? These were just a few of the topics that were debated at the Debating Training Day last Friday.
Students from Years 8, 9 and 10 that expressed an interest in debating, participated in activities to build their confidence in public speaking and being part of a debating team. The
The day was held in the Communities University Centre in Ulladulla. A wonderful venue, giving students access to a beautiful learning environment in our town. Thanks to Mr Aziz, Mrs Ommundsen and Mrs Taplin for facilitating the day.
If any students in Year 7-10 are interested in learning more about debating, contact one of the teachers above. New students are welcome! Debating is a great way to meet new friends.
