Year 6 students

Last week we welcomed over 220 new Year 7 Students for their Orientation day and Parent information week. One thing that is true to say, that the transition to high school is one of the biggest changes while growing up.  Students are no longer children, they are young people, who are really taking the big step into developing who they are and who they will become.

It is important that the current Year 7, take the lead and help welcome our newest students when they arrive in 2024. The information night was a huge success, with each Head Teacher greeting parents and students and giving much insight into what the courses will look like, how the day will unfold, and finally all the students and parents got to share their ‘best hopes’ for high school. Our Year 7 Year Advisor Mrs Johnstone and Assistant Year Advisor Mr Barrett are very excited to share the next 6-year Journey with the class of 2029, as are all the teachers. Both the Orientation Day and the Information Night were so successful also because of our fantastic SRC who shared all their knowledge of our school and answered all the hard questions.
