Effort, drive and our Excellence Assembly.

“Whatever your talent, you have to engage to realize that talent. We all have seen talent wasted.” However, we have also seen when perseverance and effort have catapulted talent. We celebrated our students’ successes at our Excellence Assembly last week.

From our junior debaters, our Southern stars, our Rural Fire Service Year 10 candidates, Far South Coast Drama Festival, Milumba Junior and Senior effort and improvement awards, NAIDOC WEEK Poetry Competition and both our Cross Country Champions and our Athletics zone and regional competitors and champions, Shoalhaven Food Network presentations, and finally the Coondoo Classic Mountain Biking represented the strength of both our boys and girls in Mountain Biking.   And of course, Grace Hewitt-Hull, president of the SRC provided an excellent update of all the great things happening with the SRC and SEC.

A highlight was our Dancers ‘ We are one’ and , particularly the mesmerising butterfly inspired Yearr 10 Circus Double Trapeze. I congratulate all our students for their awards and performances, it is a true representation of the dispositions of learning, drive and determination.  When people think of the word “drive,” they often think you have it or you don’t, and that’s where we’re wrong. Drive is something that can be encouraged by a wonderful teacher, by a terrific classroom environment, by an awesome team that you are on. Big thanks to our incredible teachers. And finally we celebrated our Equestrian champions at the Berry Interschool Equestrian Championships – Champion Secondary School. #Passions #Effort #Celebration
