Ashton led students during the Regrow Conjola plant rejuvenation and recovery initiative culminating in the planting of 1000 mature plants. As a leader of the SEC he was instrumental in the co-ordination and maintenance of the school paper recycling program and the return and earn program for bottle collection. Ashton’s most recent initiative “Project Ozone” is focussed on educating about air pollution and growing plants in repurposed objects to reduce landfill and offset carbon emissions. Ashton has used this platform to educate, inspire and engage young people to take an active step in the reforestation of our community and wider Australia.
