Year 8 English students are tackling the roles of Archetypes in fiction. 8 Indigo, working with Holes by Louis Sachar, spent a period drawing up character profiles. Small groups selected a character, identified the archetype, and then proceeded to unpack how this can be seen in their personality and actions throughout the narrative. They concluded with a gallery walk that compounded their shared learning.
