It was the first day of summer and our last Outdoor Ed walk for the year when we set off from Lake Tabourie on a misty drizzly morning. 8 Violet was in great spirits and once we hit the first headland and navigated around it, the sky opened up to a bright blue sunshiny day. Everyone made the most out of our extended lunch break at Meroo Head and launched themselves into the splashing waves.

Before we knew it and 9 km later, our destination Bawley Point was in sight with enough time for another cooling ocean dip. A day well spent for our amazing 8 Violet. I hope everyone in Year 8 enjoyed their Outdoor Ed excursions throughout the year. It’s been a pleasure to explore with you Year 8 and I hope everyone is getting out into the Outdoors for a big positive mental health break as we approach the summer break. Thanks to Ice and Mr Barry for their support on the day. Have a great summer Year 8, Mrs Mergel.
