Our Young Debaters are Awesome!

Having a convincing argument and then being able to persuade an audience is a skill that will always come in handy for our students throughout their life. The careful selection of words that show wisdom, thought and often a great deal of compassion is something that comes with being a clever and very able debater. Debating can look intimidating from the sidelines, with speakers appearing confident, passionate and unwavering, but it consists of skills that anybody can learn. Debating may not be something that you encounter in your everyday work but these skills can be incredibly valuable. Creating a strong argument and then being able to articulate their ideas forward was very evident in our Junior Debating team of students Angelique McCabe, Ivy Lawson, Zoe Borg and Mya Levy, ably assisted by Mrs Dale were exceptional and won against Shoalhaven High School.
