Overseas Excursion Put on Hold

Friday 25 September should have been the day that Year 9 and 10 elective French students flew out to New Caledonia for their French Language Study Tour and for the time of their lives. Sadly, due to Covid, the excursion had to be postponed, until when, no one knows. Friday 25 September should have been the day that Year 9 and 10 elective French students flew out to New Caledonia for their French Language Study Tour and for the time of their lives. As a treat and in commiseration, we organised a French ‘Pique-Nique’ at Ulladulla Harbour. However, the bad weather put a stop to that plan too, and instead we rearranged G8, laid out the picnic blanket and feasted on French food. We enjoyed croissants, baguettes, brie and camembert cheeses, strawberries dipped in caramel sauce, homemade tarte aux pommes (apple tarts) and much more.

We are hopeful that overseas excursions will be able to resume sometime in 2021 or 2022 and we will be able to sample similar foods in New Caledonia
