In addition to last weeks article “Leadership takes courage”, it must be mentioned how inspiring it was to witness twenty-eight Year 11 students volunteer and speak openly to their peer group about their leadership ideas for UHS.
Each student stood up in front of their cohort and gave an impromptu speech that articulated; what they believed in, past achievements and most importantly what new initiatives they would lead in the school if elected to the Senior Executive, SRC/SEC. It was a proud moment for the Year Advisor, Mrs Dale to see these students take another great leap into the adult world of democracy.
