Public Education Awards

Ellie Fitzpatrick and Denise Lofts with awards

Welcome to Week 4 – Last week we celebrated Public Education Week. This year’s theme was: Proud to belong. Public Education Week is a time for all of us to feel “proud to belong”, sharing our pride in being part of NSW Public Education and the achievements of our students and staff. This week we celebrate and acknowledge all those who contribute to our children and young people’s educational journey. Our staff, parents and carers, community leaders and P&C all play an important role in the education of UHS students. Ulladulla High School is well known as a World Class school with a strong focus on developing our students as Global Learners.

Suanne Knight

Our school was strongly represented and acknowledged at the Public Education Awards ceremony on Monday 5 August at Sydney Town Hall, taking out the most awards for any Public School in NSW. This is a fantastic achievement, one I am extremely proud of as the Relieving Principal. Congratulations to Ellie Fitzpatrick and Charlotte Carter Year 12 Students who were awarded the Minister’s Award for excellence in Student Achievement. Congratulations to our staff- Leanne Colley (Business Manager) and Karyn Ingold (Careers Advisor) who were awarded the Secretary’s Award for Excellent Service. Congratulations also to Suanne Knight who was awarded the Premier’s History Teachers Association History Scholarship, a great achievement. Ulladulla High School was awarded the Secretary’s Award for School Achievement for our 4Sea’s Future Focused UHS Learning Culture. This is an outstanding result, something that as a school community we should all be celebrating, and an achievement we should all be very proud of.
