It’s been an unusual year to say the least and with NAPLAN being cancelled it has prompted the need to check in with how our students are progressing. The Check-in assessment is an optional online reading and numeracy assessment for students in Years 3, 5 and 9.
Our school will be undertaking the check-in assessments for Year 9 during weeks 5-7 this term. The Check-in assessment supports our existing school practices and will help us to identify how students are performing in literacy and numeracy and to help us tailor our teaching more specifically to student needs. This is not to be an onerous undertaking and will have immense benefits. We encourage all students to do their best. More explicit information will be provided to Year 9 students and parents as a result.
