Bumulaga-njin Roll Call
(Dhurga word meaning "Our Morning")
Due to not being able to have our usual roll call groups of Gunya, Dhurga and Bangurri, we have decided to introduce a roll call for Aboriginal students to come together each morning in their year groups in the Gunya room. Roll call has always been an important time for us to come together and we wish to continue this culture during this time. All Aboriginal students are encouraged to attend, have breakfast, get support and information about upcoming programs. To continue in Term 3.
Monday - Year 11 & 12 Tuesday - Year 7
Wednesday - Year 8 Thursday - Year 9 Friday - Year 10
PCYC Fit 2 Learn Program
In Term 3 the PCYC will run an 8 week program for a selected group of Koori boys. ‘Fit to Learn’ is designed to provide students with the skills to better connect with school and have a more enjoyable school life, whilst also providing skills to prepare them for future employment.
The program provides young people with the opportunity to understand how and why they make the decisions they do and how to make better decisions, for their own personal growth and development. The boys will get a note home with further information and a permission note attached.
