Year 10 Interview and 'Selfie' with the Mayor

Year 10 students have been writing their first ever 'Environmental Management Plan'. Each student has chosen a local issue - anything from dams and dairy farms to estuaries and harbours. They have been out of the classroom, seeing real-world challenges and considering strategies from the perspective of different stakeholders.

On Wednesday 29th August, Year 10 students were fortunate to have the opportunity to interview the Mayor of Shoalhaven City Council, Amanda Findley. Students asked a wide range of questions and Councillor Findley gave engaging responses. She explained the role of government in ensuring 'intergenerational equity' - that is, where future generations get to enjoy the same beautiful environment we are so lucky to live in. Year 10 student Ethan Henkel stepped up to deliver our thanks to the Mayor on behalf of all Year 10 for sharing with us.
