Celebrating the Success of Our 2025 HSC Students
We are delighted to share the outstanding achievements of our 2025 HSC cohort. Once again, our students have delivered strong results, with many attaining impressive ATARs. Chloe Grabia led the cohort with an outstanding ATAR of 92.2, closely followed by Ivy Lawson with 87.9. Across the group, students achieved 7 Band 6 results and an exceptional 104 Band 5 results—an impressive reflection of their dedication and commitment to learning. We also celebrate the six students who earned places on the 2025 Distinguished Achievers list, including two recognised across multiple subjects. Congratulations to Amy Bruce, whose HSC Visual Arts Body of Work, L’art de Pondering, was selected for ARTEXPRESS. This is a remarkable honour, showcasing Amy’s creativity and skill at a state level. The work is a film featuring our very own Mrs McCutcheon performing multiple roles, including a priest, and will be exhibited at the Art Gallery of New South Wales and tour regional locations for months. Selection for an HSC showcase is an extraordinary achievement and a proud moment for our entire school community. While these results are impressive, they represent more than academic success alone. They reflect the perseverance, courage, and sustained effort of our students, supported every step of the way by our dedicated teachers. Each student has worked hard to achieve their personal best, and we are incredibly proud of them all. As many of our high-achieving graduates begin the next stage of their journey at university and beyond, we extend our warmest congratulations to the entire Class of 2025. Your determination and commitment have truly paid off, and you leave our school with much to be proud of.

Welcoming our newest Students
Welcome back to all our returning students, and a sincere welcome to our new Year 7 students. We’re pleased to have you joining our school community as you begin this next stage of your education. Starting a new school year is an opportunity to reset, refocus, and approach learning with a fresh perspective. It’s a time to set realistic goals, build good habits, and gradually challenge yourself both academically and personally. As the year unfolds, there will be many chances to develop new skills, form connections, and discover interests you may not have explored before. We encourage everyone to approach the year with an open mind, a willingness to learn, and a sense of responsibility for their own progress. We look forward to working together and supporting all students as they navigate the year ahead.
2026 ISER Selection
Ulladulla High School is proud to announce that three UHS students—Katie Henderson, Kiah Condie and Loki Smart—have been selected for the 2026 ISER Performing Ensemble.

Performance tours are held once per term over three days in various public schools. The ensemble also presents special performances upon request, which may involve an additional evening or daytime commitment.
Congratulations to Katie, Kiah and Loki on this outstanding achievement!
Welcome Back to School
Welcome back to a new school year at Ulladulla High School. I hope all students, families and staff enjoyed a safe and refreshing break and are feeling positive and ready for the year ahead. As a school community, we begin the year with a strong sense of optimism and excitement about the opportunities before us.One of the most exciting developments for our school is the significant investment in our learning environments. Over the coming months, a number of key infrastructure upgrades will be completed across the school. Our science laboratories and industrial arts rooms are being upgraded to provide modern, well-equipped spaces that better support practical, hands-on learning and innovation. In addition, many existing classrooms will be refreshed with new paint, new carpet and the installation of air conditioning, ensuring comfortable and contemporary learning spaces for both students and staff. We are also very pleased to share progress on the construction of 11 new classrooms, including a purpose-designed three-classroom Support Unit hub. This development will further enhance our capacity to support the diverse learning needs of our students and reflects our commitment to inclusive, high-quality education for all. These upgrades represent a significant step forward in creating learning spaces that match the high standards of teaching and learning that occur at Ulladulla High School every day. They also reflect our shared commitment to continuous improvement and future-focused education. As we begin the year, we continue to be guided by our school motto, “Strive for the Summit.” This value underpins the way we learn, teach and work together as a community. It reminds us to set high expectations, embrace challenge and persist in the pursuit of personal excellence. By striving for the summit, we encourage every student to be the best version of themselves and to take pride in their growth and achievements. I look forward to working closely with our students, staff, families and wider community throughout the year. Together, we will make the most of the exciting opportunities ahead and continue to build a school we can all be proud of.
I wish everyone a positive and successful start to the school year.

Ulladulla High School proudly celebrated an exceptional year of sporting achievement at our annual Sport Excellence Assembly on Thursday 4 December. With over 200 award recipients, the event recognised the dedication, skill and sportsmanship of students across Years 7–12. From CHS State representatives to our weekly School Sport MVPs, the assembly highlighted the depth of talent within our school community and the commitment of our students to representing UHS with pride. A number of major awards were presented on the day, including the Marlin Medal, Regional Blue, Team of the Year, and our highly anticipated Sportsperson of the Year awards. Congratulations to Cheyenne Murray, recipient of the Outstanding Performance of the Year Award, Bodhi Charlton as Junior Sportsperson of the Year, and Annabelle Healey as Senior Sportsperson of the Year. We also celebrated the incredible achievement of the Open Girls Touch Football Team, crowned Team of the Year after an outstanding season finishing equal ninth in the state. The overall Winning House for 2025 was Gawura, celebrated with a spectacular lighting display and well-deserved applause. The event was also supported by two vibrant Year 10 Dance performances, adding energy and creativity to the celebration. It was incredible to celebrate the overwhelming talent and participation of our sporting students and see the growth in numbers over the years. We thank the PDHPE department, office staff, and other school staff, parents, and coaches for their support this year. A huge thank you to everyone whose behind-the-scenes efforts helped make this event possible. Your dedication and support are truly appreciated. Congratulations once again to all students recognised—your achievements are something our whole school community is incredibly proud of. We look forward to another exciting year of sport at Ulladulla High School in 2026.
CHS Beach Volleyball Success
Our students made history last Friday as they travelled to Newcastle for the inaugural Pilot CHS Beach Volleyball event. With limited spots available, the team showed incredible determination to get there, and Grace Donnelly and Myra Williams proudly stepped up to compete in the boys division. Liam Doherty and Elliott Owen completed the team and they were all outstanding, going undefeated all day in extremely hot conditions. Their hard work, weekend training and passion for the sport paid off, claiming 1st place in a thrilling final of the 9/10 competition. With beach volleyball pushing to become a recognised CHS sport - and some saying it’s the best sport there is - our students have certainly helped lead the way. Congratulations to all involved!
